Welcome to Allan J Hargreaves Plant Engineers Ltd. The company was formed in August 1983 for the repair and maintenance of construction plant machinery, specialising in 360o excavators. Over the past ten years we have become extensively involved in the maintenance and repair of Road Rail excavators used by contractors with the rail infrastructure.

Today the company operates from a modern industrial estate in Thornton-Cleveleys on the Fylde Coast with a fleet of five fully equipped service vehicles.

The company became LINK UP accredited in March 2005 and “ISO 9001:2000” in March 2004.

Our six service engineers are PTS certified and NVQ level 3 accredited in construction plant maintenance and repairs. Engineers have undertaken product training with; Prolec, Mecalac, Colmar, Rexquote and Philmor Rail, Indexator Rototilt and hold comprehensive training records and CSCS link cards. The company is CITB registered and our Two apprentice's trainees follow the CITB apprenticeship scheme. Staff have attended C.O.S.H.H. safety seminars, fire training and the company has one fully trained first aider and one emergency trained person.

We are a Prolec approved distributor and installer specialising in road-rail excavators and RCI (Rated Capacity Indicator) Systems.

We have a purpose built road rail excavator test rig which enables us to offer “First of Class” and “Recalibration” service to comply with rail group standard RIS-1530. We have developed close links with the VAB’s and can offer re-certification of road rail machines for engineering acceptance.
