Allan started his career with Gunn JCB as a mechanic attending the local agricultural college and JCB training school. Following 10 years of product and management training, he left the position of service foreman to take up a two year contract in Saudi Arabia as service manager with a heavy equipment and JCB dealer.
Upon Allan’s return to the UK he decided to utilise his knowledge and experience to form Allan J Hargreaves plant engineers and has continually developed the company to this day.
Historically the company focused on maintenance and repair of 360 degree excavators such as JCB, Priestman and Hymac. In the late 90’s an opportunity arose with Hiremee and Mecalac to provide service support for the Northwest area. Through this exposure to the Rail industry we have been able to grow and develop into a niche service / maintenance provider for road rail excavators and equipment of all types and manufacture. |
