Since 1997 Stobart Rail (Formerly W A Developments) has been delivering projects on Network Rail Infrastructure successfully with a directly employed multiskilled and experienced workforce.
In the early stages of our development once we started to build a fleet of our own Road Rail equipment it became obvious to us we needed a robust maintenance regime in place to ensure we delivered the best possible service to our clients.
This was the start of our association with Allan J Hargreaves Plant Engineers Ltd. At first Allan and his team provided us with emergency response engineers capable of diagnosing and correcting plant defects on site. We decided it would be far more beneficial to engage Allan and his team on a regular basis to ensure we maintained our plant to the highest standards. We have until recently had a maintenance contract in place with AJH alongside which Allan has provided us with standby/call out engineers for rapid response.
Additionally Allan and his team are not only well qualified, but are easily contactable, approachable and provide fantastic service and are happy to give diagnostic advise over the phone which can often get the plant up and running rather than allow you to lose time on the job and therefore jeopardise the hand back time.
AJH after all these years is still a highly respected member of our supply chain carrying out our upgrades to RIS 1530 PLT and providing us with the rapid response and advise you need in this industry.
I myself have an excellent relationship with Allan and his team which has grown from the time I spent as Plant Manager for the company. Stobart Rail’s relationship with AJH has been instrumental in the success of our Plant Division of that I have no doubt.

I would like to send you direct feedback from one of our Engineers of a recent upgraded machine that your company has carried out for TXM Plant.
The statement from the engineer to me was;
“This is the best upgrade we have had so far”
Seeing as the depot in question has not received upgraded machines from Hargreaves before, I feel it pertinent to send positive feedback of the efforts and workmanship on the upgrade(s) your team are doing for TXM. Please ensure this is feedback is passed on to the team whose efforts and workmanship have been recognised by end users of the machine.
