Engineered For The Line

Hydrostatic Drive Option
For enhanced traction and braking, a hydrostatic drive solution is available. This system utilises a through-drive axle, offering superior handling of curves and minimising flange wear. The stub axle system keeps wheel loads independent of drive loads, maximising lifespan and reliability. Operators can select from various drive modes work, travel, and creep to adapt to different operating conditions, thereby increasing productivity and reducing workload. This system utilises load free wheel motors, with variable displacement control. Allowing maximum control over the drive system.

Operator-Centric Design
The cab is ergonomically designed with joystick steering for
precise movement. It features air conditioning, increased storage, auxiliary
input, and both 12V and 24V power supplies, ensuring a comfortable and
user-friendly experience. The sound-suppressing technology maintains noise
levels comparable to an executive car. When converted to a two-person cab, it
offers generous space for the passenger while retaining its factory cab pressurisation
capabilities.
Safety & RCI Systems

GKD
The GKD Rail RCI System significantly enhances safety during rail operations by continuously monitoring load weights, machine stability, and operational parameters. It provides operators with real-time visual and audible alerts, warning of potential overloads or unsafe operating conditions. If limits are exceeded, the system can automatically restrict machine functions to prevent accidents. Fully integrated with the excavator’s hydraulics and control systems, the GKD RCI ensures consistent, safe performance across all rail-based lifting operations. It is fully compliant with Network Rail standards, making it a trusted choice for operators working in high-risk railway environments.

InTeEx
The Intex Rail RCI System offers an alternative advanced safety solution, specifically designed for the unique demands of road-rail vehicles. It delivers real-time monitoring of lifting loads, working angles, and machine stability to help prevent tipping and overloading. Operators benefit from clear, user-friendly displays and immediate audible warnings, alongside automatic machine interventions if required. The system is built for durability and reliability, operating effectively even in challenging weather and track conditions. With precise weight calculations and simple operation, the Intex Rail RCI supports safe, efficient, and fully compliant rail operations, helping contractors meet all relevant industry safety standards.

Compliance
At AJH Plant Engineers, compliance and quality are at the core of every machine conversion. The Komatsu PC138US-11 rail conversion has been designed, built, and rigorously tested to meet full UK, Irish, and EU railway compliance requirements, including the critical RIS-1530-PLT standard. Every machine undergoes thorough inspection, load testing, and certification to guarantee operational safety, reliability, and approval for use on live railways. With AJH’s proven track record in rail machinery innovation and compliance excellence, customers can trust that their investment not only delivers performance but also meets the highest regulatory and safety expectations.
