Friction Drive
The A 924 Litronic is a dual purpose machine that can be used on the road or on railway tracks. The rail-going gear is mounted on both sides of the undercarriage. When the machine is put on rail tracks, the rail guide is lowered one axle at a time until the lnternal wheels of the twin tyres make contact with the rail wheel provide the friction connection for the travel drive.
